a fairytale

"Mummy?" "yes dear" "will you tell me a story?"
"Once upon a time there were giants and goblins, fairies and angels who walked and flew about the earth like normal animals and birds. There were animals as well but of wonderful colours unlike the ones we know. The flowers came to the were also different shapes and sizes and colours. One day some barbarian humans came to the land. They started randomly killing the unarmed animals so all the animals, angels, fairies, goblins and giants got together and disscussed what to do. The giants said "fight" so did the animals and goblins but the fairies and angels said " no let's be more deceitful and also send goblins saying we retreated... "help help" in came some elves and fauns. "who are you?" asked Farkly (a fairy) "we were chased out our land to the north from here by some barbarian humans there are more coming." " stay and bring the rest" said Farkly. Just then in cluttered more beasts. So then they went into their fortress and put guards out, they brought in lots food and made plans to attack the enemies camp. They sent out spies who went into the enemy camp and then one day they armed themselves to go to battle with archers who would stay on top of the hill. Then they would have swordmen, and and the fairies and angels had knives."
"now dear we will carry on tomorrow" "goodnight mummy" "goodnight dear."

Next night... "mummy will you tell me the end of the story."
"well suddenly some centours and dwarfs came saying the barbarian humans had chased them out from the east and west. So the dwarfs were archers and the centours trampled people and were also swordsmen. They met the humans and soon won the battle but these humans were under warlords so they went and quarter the army stayed to guard the humans because there weren't many left but rest of the army didn't want human reinforcements. So 3 quarters went to chase the humans out of the east and gained the support of the prisoners there and they sent the prisoners and a few of their ow men to take back the humans and so 3 quarters the origanal army went and freed the east and North and when they got back they had an army three times the size that of the humans and another battle commenced and they were victorious again and the humans never ever came back again.
THE END!!!"

2nd World War

ANNE FRANK.

Anne Frank lived during the 2nd world war as a Jew. She lived in Amsterdam in a secret annexe to escape the German Nazis. While she lived there she wrote a diary about her experience.

PEARL HARBOUR

Pearl Harbour was were Japan bombed the USA colony of Pearl Harbour. This lead to America, a powerful enemy, being involved in WW2. Pearl harbour was a USA naval training base.

After the bombing of Pearl Harbour 4 more battles occurred in which Hiroshima and Nagasaki was bombed before America beat Japan.

PROPAGANDA
Propaganda is a type of advertising. In ww2 it was used to make people believe something. By doing it in a subtle way the people didn’t realize what was hapenining to them. In ww2 posters said things like “coughs and sneezes spread diseases. Trap germs in your hankerchief, keep Britain fighting fit” They also wrote things saying don’t waste money from the war effort on bugs with a picture of a bug with a Hitler hairstyle. To say don’t waste war effort money because that’s what Hitler wants.

Black propaganda is when you try and damage the enemies’ morale. An example of German black propaganda is when the English were fighting in Italy the Germans dropped leaflets saying back in merry old England the Yanks have lots of money and time for your women. The British dropped leaflets on Germany about anti nazi campaigns and pretended they were written by Germans to make German’s confused if there was a revolution against the Nazis or not.

THE NAZIS GAIN POWER

The requirement for the Nazis when they came to power was to sort out Germany’s economy (money). Hitler ruled a dictatorship and anyone who was anti-nazi, Jews, gypsies or did not agree with Hitler was sent to a concentration camp. However when news of Hitler poisoning himself seeped out weeping was common.

If you were a youth you were expected to go to Deutshes Jungvolk and then if you were a boy Hitler Jugend (HJ) or Hitler youth and Bund Deutsher Madel if a girl. Every man before becoming a soldier had to swear an oath to Hitler: “I swear by god this sacred oath, that I will give unlimited obedience to the leader of the German Reich and People, Adolf Hitler, and as a brave soldier will be ready to stake my life for this oath at any time”.

book review

Name: SPY GIRL, the dark side of midnight.

Author: Carol Hedges

About: Jasmin Dawson's mum works for global security. One day she gets sent on a mission to find a body. When she goes mssing Jasmin is sent to rescue her. But at the beginning Jasmin is sent to her uncle and aunt's where she sees her cousin who is her exact opposite.

I liked the fact that the hero is a girl unlike Harry Potter. The moral of the story is that just because you're rich it doesn't mean you're nice. This is only 1 moral because you follow lots of people in this book. I like it because she told it in a round-about-way.

Rating: 9.5/10

Comparisons: Jasmin is way cooler than Harry Potter.
This is the best book EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Where did I get it:Reading Mission at Pimlico Library, Pimlico, London, England.

rosie

Rosie was walking along thinking about her adorable ringlets, pale blue eyes with curling eyelashes. She triped over a log outside her house and burst into tears as her mother and father came running out with six servants. They carried her to a couch and plumped up pillows anmd brought her some sweet tea. Then her servants went and got some first aid and bandaged her leg and a new frock and fussed over her. Soon her mother ordered the servants to bring jelly.

Brockwell Park

Our mulberries taste of nothing, really, but I like the blue juice stain they leave on your hands.

The ones in Brockwell Park though are another matter they taste heavenly: A sort of really mild spice and sugar. They are red and when you touch them it looks like blood.

The walled garden that the mulberry tree is in is a combination of wildness and beauty.
Flowers are everywhere growing very close together and a lot of colours but it doesn't make your eyes water because they sortt of blend in.

cake reviews

Victoria sandwich is to sponge cakes with strawberries and cream in the middle. Tastes best with fresh strawberries and cream.
Excellent for parties especially in the park.

Chocolate cake is absoluteley delicious.

Ice-cream reviews.

Honey ice-cream sounds gross but it's delicious. It tastes of honey with just a hint of another flavour.

Lemon ice-cream is white with a strong lemon flavour. It is very good.

Cornwall

We went to the beach and then up to a watermill. There were a lot of cogs and wheels turning round. Then we had ice-cream in a cafe under the trees next to the pond which powers the watermill. While dad waited in the car mum and I climbed up to a big tree and over a stile. There was a lot of really soft, dry, cushiony moss and we were in a small wood. It was beautiful.

On the beaches that we went to the water was very blue but so cold it was hard to swim in it when the sun was behind a cloud. There were lots of rocks with the most beautiful, warm rockpools. On busy beaches if you went up some steps you ccould get Cornish ice-cream but we often went to a hidden away beach so if you wanted ice-cream you had to go to Portscatho which was a walk along the coastal path along the cliff.

We were renting a house and there were three houses in a courtyard. In one of the houses was a family who live there. There were two children in that house and their granny lived up on top of the courtyard on a sort of hill and almost every evening I used to go and find them. Because both of their gardens were big and private and we used to go and play on their trampoline.
